UKCAT Online Private Tutoring

Kaplan's expert UKCAT Preparation is now available on a one-to-one basis - online!

If you would like to work one-to-one with a tutor, and are unable to attend face-to-face meetings at the Kaplan centre in London, Online tutoring is an excellent option.

You'll receive individual attention from a Kaplan UKCAT expert, allowing you to tailor your sessions so that you work on the sections of the test that you have the most difficulty with. This will ensure that you raise your score by the maximum possible amount come Test Day.

Overview

UKCAT Online Tutoring: £495 for 7 hours

When you enroll for UKCAT Online Private Tutoring you'll receive 7 hours of dedicated time with your tutor. Your tutor will be a UKCAT expert having scored highly on the test, and experienced the stress of Test Day.

If you feel as though you need additional hours once the 7 hours have been completed, you can purchase additional hours for a reduced rate.

Course Structure

There is no set structure for UKCAT Online Tutoring - it is all entirely customised according to your needs.

If you feel that you want to cover all sections of the test, time will be split evenly between the 5 sections. If you would like to focus on one or two of the sections, then the majority of time will be spent on those particular aspects of the test.

Course Materials

In addition to time with your tutor, you will receive a full UKCAT student kit. This includes:

  • Strategy Book: the ultimate reference for raising your score on the UKCAT
  • Five full-length practice tests
  • Ongoing academic support until Test Day!

Test Overview

The UKCAT is a multiple-choice computer-based test that is taken at Pearson Vue Testing centres. The test can be taken on any day of your choice between July and October. For the exact test-taking window, please visit www.ukcat.ac.uk.

The UKCAT test is approximately 2 hours long. At the test centre, students will receive a whiteboard, a marker pen and a calculator. Students will not be permitted to take any other items into the test room with them.

Test Format

The test is comprised of 5 sections. Each section is a different length and is made up of a different number of questions. The five sections are:

  • Verbal Reasoning
  • Quantitative Reasoning
  • Abstract Reasoning
  • Decision Analysis
  • Non-cognitive

Test Scores

Each section is scored between 300-900 points except for the final section for which you will receive a brief summary.
