Kaplan offers private tutoring for the GRE to provide the best GRE preparation tailored to each individual student. This service is offered online, for your convenience. Join your teacher anywhere!

Online lessons take place via Skype™ video calls. You are able to see your instructor on webcam, view lesson material on the screen through online whiteboard technology, and learn just like meeting the tutor in person.

Private GRE Coaching Available Anywhere

Each tutoring session takes place at a time to suit you and you can join from anywhere with an internet connection. Before your first lesson you will take a diagnostic test which provides your current score level and shows your strengths and weaknesses in each section of the test. Your teacher will use your results to create the best preparation program for you.

You can start your tutoring from a minimum of 15 hours of lessons. All our tutoring packages also provide access to our GRE Anywhere Course!

When you enroll, you will be matched with a tutor based on your needs and availability. Before your first lesson you will take a GRE diagnostic test online. The results will allow your tutor to focus your teaching sessions on the areas where you need the most help and can make the greatest improvement.

You will receive a set of books and materials, plus access to extensive online study resources which include homework assignments, practice tests, and more.

You will receive access to GRE Anywhere Course lessons, AND your tutoring will be covered by Kaplan's Higher Score Guarantee.

How Online Tutoring Works

Online tutoring is exactly the same as traditional face-to-face tutoring, except that the service comes to you, wherever you are. You can connect with your tutor from home, work, or anywhere with an internect connection.

We use a combination of voice/video calls via Skype™, webcams to provide visual interaction with your tutor, and screensharing technology to replicate a physical tutoring environment.

Skype is free to install and can be accessed anywhere. If you do not already have a Skype account then you will be required to create one. If you are unsure and want to know more details, please Contact Us.

Scheduling of Tutoring Hours

Private tutoring hours are scheduled based on the availability of you and your tutor. Below are estimates of advised time periods in which to complete your private tutoring hours. You should consider time outside of your lessons to review, study, and complete any homework or assignments. Time periods may vary slightly based on availability and the needs of the student.

35 hourse: ~ 3 months
25 hours: 2-3 months
15 hours: 4-6 weeks
